Dengue can be Defeated, Just Try This and See The Wonders
Without exception I am very proud to belong to the Indian subcontinent; in the broader sense of the geography is what I meant. The place is naturally blessed with oodles of resources and supplies, weathers, climates, snow-capped mountains with the world’s highest peak, most beautiful sea beaches, scorching yet enchanting and vast desert, the place that receives the heaviest rainfall in the world, and few of the deadliest vector-borne diseases.
It’s the season for Dengue but I for one won’t welcome it, come what may!
I will never want anyone else for that matter to get down with Dengue Fever.
The Culprit behind Dengue Fever
Dengue Fever is actually a tropical virus which takes birth in the fangs of mosquitoes. To add insult to injury, there is no specific medicine or remedy available for its treatment, except for the treatment for the relief of the symptoms, symptomatic treatment as they call it. Sources say!
It is the family business of viruses that gang up with mosquitoes, and the latter literally stab the skin of unsuspecting, innocent individuals. What follows is the serious condition marked by a sudden onset of symptoms such as a headache, fever, exhaustion, severe muscle and joint pain, swollen lymph nodes, and rashes.
The bonus includes bleeding gums, severe pain behind the eyes, and red palms and soles. Those of us with a weak immune system are at the greater risk of falling prey to this Dengue (pronounced DENG-gay) hence it is crucial to maintaining a robust immune system.
Beware; these could be the Symptoms of Dengue Fever
You have to be ready to face the Big D, and if you know the symptoms then it would set in rather easily.
For your convenience I am stating them in listicles:
- Sudden, high fever
- Severe headaches
- Pain behind the eyes
- Severe joint and muscle pain
- Fatigue
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Skin rash
- Mild bleeding (nose, gums)
Further serious problems include dengue hemorrhagic fever, bleeding nose and gums, liver enlargement, and failure of the circulatory system. These symptoms can aggravate further.
The crux of the matter is that Dengue is a very serious condition and ought to be taken that way.
An even more intense sign is Dengue Shock Syndrome that includes severe abdominal pain, disorientation, heavy bleeding, and the sudden drop in blood pressure signalling deadly shock, hence the term Dengue Shock Syndrome.
Can Dengue Fever be Prevented
To be honest, there are no sure-shot prevention methods as of now, and even the work on a vaccine is in progress. But that doesn’t mean that you guys sit back for the virus to launch its attack! You have to take certain precautions to avoid the bug.
Do the Following:
- Just don’t let mosquitoes breed in your surroundings
- Keep your house clean, tidy, and hygienic
- If there is any stagnant water in your settings remove it ASAP
- Use residential bug-killer sprays
- Dispose off the garbage as directed by the municipality
- Be extra careful during the rains
- Wear clothes that cover your entire body
- Use a mosquito repellent cream
- Keep your garments dry
