The discs present in our neck and back are connected till the hip in our body and are very sensitive. These discs work as a spring in our body. Whenever we bend to carry some heavy stuff, the whole load is carried by these discs. One can face a slipped disc whenever heavy weight lifting in the gym is done or a severe accident takes place. When the disc shifts or slips from its place, it presses some nerves and affects the blood supply. Thus, the nerve is not able to function properly and leads to pain, weakness or numbness in the area of the body served by those nerves.
