Dengue is a mosquito-borne disease that is transmitted from infected person to healthy person. There is a sudden drop in the platelet count from the blood resulting fever and fatigue.
Causes
This fever is caused by dengue viruses that are primitively spread by mosquitoes. When a mosquito bites an infected person, the mosquito also gets infected. When the infected mosquito bites another healthy person, the virus enters that person’s bloodstream leading to this disease.

- High fever
- Severe headaches
- Pain behind the eyes
- Severe joint and muscle pain
- Fatigue
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Rashes on skin and mild bleeding.
Prevention
- Prevent mosquito breeding.
- Keep your surroundings clean.
